Several shops that are either run by mobile phone networks or are independent retailers feature displays that showcase both the iPhone 5 and the iPhone 4S. According to sources close to the industry, these shop owners have now been told to prepare to display three items instead of two. They're also being told to expect shipments of two items, could this be proof of the iPhone 5S and iPhone C's existence?

According to the Telegraph, the new configuration of displays could indicate that Apple is hoping to use these retail spaces to emphasize its new iPhone 5S or iPhone C models. In addition, the stores are being told that two separate deliveries will be coming into their stores. It has been known for a while that the iPhone 5S is expected to debut on Sept. 10. However, the second shipment could very well be the low-cost iPhone C. The C will be plastic backed device offered in red, yellow, blue, white and green. Apple hopes the iPhone C can replace its older generation models on the low-end smartphone market.

Apple has not yet confirmed the existence of any new device. In fact, the highly anticipated Sept. 10 release date hasn't even been confirmed by the company. No invitations have been sent out to the press to get them ready for the unveiling, but tech insiders remain confident that the new device will see its unveiling then. It's possible the company is waiting on the invitation to undercut the news about its rivals Samsung Galaxy Smartwatch, which has been confirmed for an unveiling on Sept. 4.

At the moment this information from the Telegraph is one of the biggest hints that not only do both devices from Apple exist, but they are expected to hit shelves sometime this month. Meanwhile, Apple is already taking steps to get some of its older models off the streets so that the iPhone C will have an easier time taking over the low-end smartphone market. The company announced a trade-in program recently that allows users to take their old smartphones and receive credit for their appraised worth that they can then put towards a new Apple device.
