Samsung has now officially confirmed that Galaxy Note FE will be available in South Korea, from this month. The smartphone is similar to Galaxy Note 7 in many ways except for the difference in the battery capacity of the smartphones.

According to reports from GSM Arena, Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy Note FE (Fan Edition) will be launched on July 7 in South Korea. Just a day before the announcement, a network carrier of LG Uplus released the details of the pre-order date of the Samsung smartphone unintentionally on the official Facebook page.

The pre-order of the smartphone has already begun in South Korea and will continue through July 6. There is no confirmed report regarding the price of Galaxy Note FE but it is estimated that the smartphone will approximately cost KRW 700,000. Moreover, sources state that Samsung is planning to sell only 4,50,000 smartphones in South Korea because the Galaxy Note 8 will be hitting the market within a time span of two months.

It must be mentioned that there is a very subtle difference between the configuration of Galaxy Note FE and Galaxy Note 7. The only main difference between the smartphones is their battery size. Galaxy Note 7 was equipped with 3500 mAh battery while Galaxy Note FE will come with a smaller battery capacity of 3200 mAh. The hardware specs are same for both the smartphones. Both the smartphone flaunts 1440 x 2560 Quad HD resolution and a screen size of 5.7 inch that comes with Super AMOLED display. The smartphones are protected by a cover of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and are powered by Exynos 8890 octa-core chipset with the Mali-T880 MP12 GPU.

Notably, in a statement, Samsung has said the launch of Galaxy Note FE is particularly important because it is an environment-friendly project that focuses on minimizing the waste of resources. No official statement has been made whether the smartphone will also be released outside South Korea or not but it is expected that the smartphone will be available in selected regions in Asia.
