TLC has decided to pull its popular show "19 Kids and Counting" in the wake of Josh Duggar admitting to child molestation on Thursday.

The network has pulled the Duggar family show from the schedule, but has not officially cancelled the program, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

"Effective immediately, TLC has pulled all episodes of '19 Kids and Counting' currently from the air. We are deeply saddened and troubled by this heartbreaking situation, and our thoughts and prayers are with the family and victims at this difficult time," TLC said in a statement to the media.

TLC came under fire on Thursday when it aired a marathon of "19 Kids and Counting" after molestation report came to light. The show was also scheduled to air on the morning of May 27, but has since been pulled.

Josh Duggar issued an apology on Thursday after it was revealed that he had molested five underage girls when he was a teenager. He reportedly fondled their breasts and genitals sometimes while they slept.

The decision to pull "19 Kids" is similar to the way TLC handled the cancellation of "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" back in October. That show also got pulled when June Shannon started dating convicted sex offender, Mark McDaniel, although Shannon denied their relationship.

Before TLC took action on "19 Kids," Shannon threatened to sue the network for "blatantly unfair and inconsistant treatment" if the Duggars' show continued to air, according to TMZ.
