Kate Middleton Shows Off Her New Hair Style Resembling Princess Diana

Kate Middleton first appeared in public with her new hair style at the opening of the Natural History Museum's Treasure exhibition in London Monday night and then made her first trip to Cambridge accompanied by Prince William on Wednesday.

Middleton's new look may have been inspired by the late seventies, with a center parted fringe, and looks more of Prince William's late mother, Princess Diana. The new hairdo turned heads as she wore an emerald green Mulberry dress, at the opening of the Natural History Museum's Treasure exhibition.

"The Natural History Museum has a very special place in the heart of this nation. William and I are just two of millions of people who have passed through these doors, and marveled at the spectacular wonders of the natural world, housed in this beautiful gallery," she said in a report published in Daily Mail. "I care passionately about what this museum stands for. Being here tonight, seeing some of nature's finest treasures, reminds me just how precious and awe inspiring the natural world is. That is why the opening of Treasures is so incredibly exciting. If it were ever needed, there is now even more reason to visit this wonderful museum."

The new hairstyle was created by Middleton's favorite hairdresser, Richard Ward, who also owns a salon off Sloane Square, London.

The professionals had their say about the Duchess' new hairdo.

"It's real simple - she just added a fringe, long bangs and little bit of layering on top," said Gonzalez of George The Salon, a celebrity stylist in Chicago, according to USA Today. "It's just creating a triangle section from the top of the head, pulling the hair down and cutting it on a slight angle, depending on the face shape.

"Hers is done really well; since she has a rounder face, it's not too much of an angle, which would emphasize that. This is cut more square and so eliminates roundness in her face," he said.

While the Duke and the Duchess of Cambridge visited their namesake city, they were welcomed by thousands of people and the couple seemed to have a great time talking to kids and people who had accumulated to welcome their Prince and Princess.

Spectators noticed Middleton's new hairstyle and loved it.

"I told her I loved her new hairstyle. She said, 'I'm not sure about it. It's a bit windy today.' I said don't worry, it looks lovely,"Joanne Baldwin told the Daily Mail.
