Susan Boyle Scotland Tour Very Close to Selling Out; Superstar Will Also Make Acting Debut (VIDEO)

“Britain’s Got Talent” star Susan Boyle is holding her first career solo concert series—and it’s extremely close to selling out, according to the Christian Science Monitor.

Boyle’s Scotland tour will make stops in Ediburgh, Highlands and Aberdeen. It will be seven nights long and 98 percents of the tickets have already been sold, reported the Scotsman.

Boyle became a YouTube sensation when her “Britain’s Got Talent” rendition of “I Dreamed a Dream” was seen on the website. Since she placed second place on the reality competition show, she has released four albums. Her latest album debuted in November 2012 and is entitled, “Standing Ovation: The Greatest Songs from the Stage.”

“Audiences can expect something from her past four albums, and something different. There will be a complete range of music, from Tina Turner to Adele,” a spokesperson for Boyle said in an interview with the Scotsman. “This tour is her way of thanking the Scottish public for their support since Britain’s Got Talent. They have been unbelievable.”

Boyle named her first album after the song that made her famous. “I Dreamed a Dream” achieved the fastest-selling rate in British history. Boyle’s 2010 biography was entitled “The Woman I Was Born To Be.” A musical based on the book debuted in March of last year and was entitled “I Dreamed a Dream.” The Elaine C. Smith production received a host of good reviews. Smith played Boyle in the musical in addition to co-writing the performance.

The British superstar will also be acting in her first movie, “The Christmas Candle”, later this year, according to the International Movie Database. The film, based in the late 1800s, will star Samantha Brooks of “Les Miserables”. It will be directed by John Stephenson and also star John Hannah and James Cosmo.
