Miley Cyrus Parents Divorce: Billy Ray and Tish Ending 19-Year Marriage

Miley Cyrus' parents are heading for a divorce, according to TMZ.

Tish Cyrus, has reportedly filed for divorce due to "irreconcilable differences" to end a 19-year marriage to Billy Ray Cyrus. This is the second time divorce has come up for the couple. TMZ reports Billy Ray filed for divorce three years ago, but the couple were able to work out their differences and continue with their marriage.

"This is a personal matter and we are working to find a resolution that is in the best interest of our family," Tish told TMZ. "We ask that you respect our privacy at this time."

According to TMZ, Tish is asking the court to grant her custody of the couples 13-year-old son, spousal support, and she's asking for Billy Ray to pay her legal fees. There have been no reports of a counter claim made by Billy Ray.

Miley has not responded to the reports of her parents divorce, but TMZ speculates the singer's recent tweets indicate she can't get in contact with her father. The tweet has since been deleted.

According to reports, Billy Ray claimed Miley's stardom strained the Cyrus family. Miley's relationship with Liam Hemsworth has reportedly suffered from a similar make-up to break-up nature.

Headlines are filled with the Cyrus name, from divorce to accusation of flirting with a fellow pop star. According to Radar Online, Justin Bieber flirted with Miley and his ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez vowed never to reconcile with the "As Long As You Love Me Singer" because she allegedly isn't fond of Miley and sees Bieber's actions as a ploy to make her angry.
