In a desperate bid to boost ratings for ABC's "The View," executives are reportedly threatening to get rid of the entire cast. According to Radar Online, executives demanded that Rosie O'Donnell and Whoopi Goldberg start getting along or everyone will get booted from the show.

"Rosie and Whoopi have been told they need to figure out your chemistry and energy and sharing responsibilities," a source said. "They've told them, 'This is your show, so figure it out.'"

"ABC is at the point where if it sinks, everybody is going down with the ship," the source added.

If ABC is forced to get rid of the entire cast - which includes O'Donnell, Goldberg, Rosie Perez and Nicolle Wallace - producers will find "four new cast members and an entirely new producing team."

The source said the hosts are not taking the threat lightly and are trying their best to turn things around.

"There are going to be big changes in terms of the tone of the show," the source told Radar, adding that O'Donnell "will have a bigger role in terms of moderating."

Last month reports surfaced that executives wanted to hold a nationwide search for new hosts because the ratings have been so bad. A similar search was held in 1999 when journalist Lisa Ling was added to the panel to replace Debbie Matenopoulos.

Ling left in 2002 to host "National Geographic Explorer" and was replaced by Elisabeth Hasselbeck the following year. Hasselbeck left the show in 2013 for Fox News Channel.
