Over the years, Blake Shelton confessed that he and his buddy Luke Bryan have made a number of bets on the outcome of awards shows. You know, if they were up for the same award, they made a bet that the winner had to buy the loser dinner. Sounds fair enough. Right?

However, Bryan pulled a fast one on "The Voice" coach.

Here's how it went down...

"Luke and I, the last couple of award shows, going back to the iHeart Radio Awards and then the CMT Awards, we had a bet on whoever won had to buy the other one dinner and somehow I won the iHeart Radio Award and so I had to go by him dinner that night," Blake told Liz Hernandez of "Access Hollywood" in Nashville, Tennessee, on Nov. 5.

Shelton was at the restaurant ready to honor the bet and take Bryan to dinner.

"Luke [came] walking in with his wife. That's great. Then, with his entire band, and crew, his management team, some label people," Blake revealed. "They had to like, find a room to put us all in. It was like a damn $10,000 dinner that I bought him that night. So, it was like, 'Hey, hope you win next time buddy. I hope you win.'"

Had the best friends actually bet on the 2014 CMA Awards Nov. 5 - but they didn't - it would have been a draw. Shelton won out over Bryan for Male Vocalist of the Year, and Bryan took home the trophy for Entertainer of the Year.

It may be awhile before Shelton bets Bryan again, unless he can figure out a way to get even with his good buddy for that $10,000 dinner.
