Bride-to-be Avril Lavinge is taking the whole wedding-planning process in stride.
"I've been very busy planning the wedding, but I'm enjoying every moment of it," the 28-year old singer told People. "I'm promoting my new record at the same time, so there's been a lot on my plate. When there's a lot going on, I always take the time to enjoy it and not to let it fly by. So I'm making sure to have fun and not let it get overwhelming."
Lavinge got engaged to Nickelback front man Chad Kroeger last year. The 38-year-old has been supportive of many of his bride-to-be's wedding dreams.
"Chad is on board with all my ideas," Lavinge said. "He knows that I have my own vision for the wedding and he likes what I like. He's down with whatever I'm down with. We have a lot in common, so it's been easier."
The couple were together for six months before they announced their engagement. Lavinge was previously married to lead singer Deryck Whibley of Sum41 but the pair filed for divorce in 2009.
In regards to what she loves about her husband-to-be, Lavinge said "he's very romantic and very attentive. He's a really nice and a good person. And he's very supportive of my music and my career, and that means a lot to me."
The "What The Hell" singer is busy recording new music in the studio and plans on dropping her fifth studio album sometime later this year. She already released her first single off the album entitled "Here's to Never Growing Up."
