After almost four years since that infamous incident at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, Kanye West does not regret stepping into Taylor Swift's acceptance speech.
According to the New York Times, when they sat down with West, they asked about the incident.
"It's only led me to complete awesomeness at all time," he said. "It's only led me to awesome truth and awesomeness. Beauty, truth, awesomeness. That's all it is."
When the publication asked him if he had any regrets, West responded, "I don't have one regret." He continued and said, "if anyone's reading this waiting for some type of full-on, flat apology for anything, they should just stop reading right now."
West blames peer pressure for his apology.
"My message isn't perfectly defined," he said. "I have, as a human being, fallen to peer pressure."
The interview also touched upon the death of his mother in 2007.
"Yeah, because my mother was - you know, I have family, but I was with my mother 80 percent of the time. My mom was basically," West paused before the interview finished the sentence with "was your family" to which West agreed.
The 35-year-old and girlfriend Kim Kardashian are expecting their first child this summer. On the season premiere of "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" it was revealed that the couple were expecting a girl.
"One of the things was just to be protective, that I would do anything to protect my child or my child's mother," he said. "As simple as that."
West is scheduled to drop his sixth studio album this month entitled "Yeezus." On Saturday Night Live, West performed two songs off the album, "New Slaves" and "Black Skinhead." He is planning a world tour following the release of the album.
