“Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” the sequel to “Captain American”, will shoot inside of the Cleveland Museum of Art, according to ComicBookMovie.
The website confirmed the location with a representative from the museum—however the representative did not give any further details. Also, the website says an investigation into the location showed filming at the Museum will most likely take place on June 20 and June 25.
According to ComicBookMovie.com, it seems the Cleveland Museum of Art may not “play” itself. The inside of the museum could be used as a substitute for the Smithsonian museum.
The second “Captain America” will take place in Washington D.C, according to DailySuperhero.com. The next movie will center on the first Avenger’s adjustment to modern life. He will save the world while partnering with S.H.I.E.L.D.
The movie will include the following characters—Captain America (obviously), Falcon, Maria Hill, Nick Fury, Alexander Pierce, Agent 13, Arnim Zola, Winder Soldier, Crossbones and Batroc.
“Captain America: Winter Soldier,” “Thor: The Dark World” and “Iron Man 3,” premiere before the movie that puts all of their stars together, “Avengers 2.”
While many characters have been confirmed for the sequel to “Avengers,” Robert Downey Jr—who plays Avengers leader Tony Stark/Iron Man—has not officially signed a new contract to continue in his role.
However, Downey Jr. fans need not worry. Director Joss Whedon told Daily Beast magazine he has “intention of making ‘Avengers 2’ without him.”
“The day he was cast, I went up to [Marvel Studios President] Kevin Feige and said, ‘You brilliant son of a b***h,’” Whedon told the magazine.
“Captain America: The Winter Soldier” will hit theaters April 4, 2014.
