Walt Disney Animations Studios announced it will flank Pixar's "Finding Nemo" sequel, "Finding Dory," with its new animated features "Zootopia" and "Moana" in 2016.

"Zootopia" features a fast-talking fox trying to make a big in the animal city of Zootopia, but he must go on the run when he's framed for a crime he didn't commit. The movie, helmed by "Tangled" director Byron Howard, will premiere on March 4, 2016.

"Moana" follows a teenage girl from the South Pacific who sets sail with her hero, the legendary demi-god Maui, for a fabled island. The film reunites Ron Clements and John Musker, the creative team behind Disney classics "The Little Mermaid" and "Aladdin" as well as "The Princess and the Frog." It will premiere on Nov. 23, 2016.

Disney's latest animation feature "Big Hero 6" opened big this past weekend. It earned $56 million on its way to taking the No. 1 spot at the box office.

Disney and Pixar announced the studios will release "Toy Story 4" film on June 16, 2017. The third "Toy Story" movie premiered in 2010 and grossed more than $1 billion worldwide.

Pixar will release two new films next year including "Inside Out" on June 19 and "The Good Dinosaur" on Nov. 25. A delay in the films' productions made 2014 the first year without a Pixar film since 2005.

"Inside Out" features voice work from Amy Poehler, Mindy Kaling, Bill Hader, Lewis Black and Phyllis Smith. Neil Patrick Harris lent his voice for "The Good Dinosaur" as well as Frances McDormand, John Lithgow, Judy Greer and Hader again.

Disney and Pixar also confirmed sequels for "The Incredibles" and "Cars" (its second) earlier this year. The studios have not announced premeire dates for the two movies.
