Former child star Hayden Panettiere spoke about child stardom and avoiding temptations with BBC Breakfast according to E Online.
The "Nashville" star began her career at the tender age of 11 months.
"I'm not different to anyone else and those same doors were opened to me and they were very ear to walk through-- drugs, alcohol, being in inappropiate places where you shouldn't be at a certain age-- it's a very tough position to be in, but I had great people to pull me back from it," Panettiere said.
The 23-year old walked a similar Hollywood path as troubled stars Lindsay Lohan and Amanda Bynes, but was able to transition her celebrity from child star to adult actress without surrendering to temptations. She admitted with BBC Breakfast that Lohan and Bynes current situations could have easily been her own.
"Being a young female growing up in this industry is tough," Panettiere said, according to the Huffington Post. "And I grew up in the generation of the wild child-- I was guilty by association. So everyone sits there and waits for you to fall of your horse.
"But as long as you have people who are willing to tell you the truth and are not afraid to tell you the truth, and who are there to yank you back when you need it and give you a reality check -- it makes a world of difference," she said.
Panettiere is currently dating Wladimir Klitschko, 37, a professional boxer. The on-again-of against couple are reportedly engaged. According to Us Weekly, a source revealed it "looks like a summer wedding." Despite the reports Panettiere and Klitschko have not revealed a wedding date.
