Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini Release And Specifications: U.K. Video Reveals Details of New Phone (WATCH)

After Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S4 Mini on Thursday, U.K. wireless carrier, Three, decided to make a video that would show off the mini's features as well as put it in context with the rest of the Samsung Galaxy family.

The video shows the S4 mini stacked on top of the regular 5-inch Galaxy S4, as well as, the oversized Galaxy Mega. Spokesman for Three, Brendan Arndt showed of the new model of the Galaxy S4.

"Some of you out there have told me you don't want to carry around a 5-inch smartphone because it's simply too big," he said. "Well, the Galaxy S4 Mini brings the premium and the best features from the Galaxy S4 in an extremely pocketable size."

The video also acts as a confirmation that the phone will be available in the U.K. The 8GB version is up for pre-sale via Handtec, a wireless retailer, for £389.99. However, neither site confirmed a release date.

As for customers in the U.S., there's still no word on the phone's availability. The Galaxy S III Mini, the phone's previous generation, was never made available in the U.S., forcing consumers there to make due with the larger version. Such might be the case for the S4 generation.

As for the Galaxy S4 Mini's specifications, PCMag reports: "The Mini, meanwhile, features a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display and runs a 1.7-GHz dual-core processor and Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. There's an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 1.9-megapixel one on the front. The S 4 Mini includes 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory (of which 5GB will actually be available), though that can be expanded up to 64GB via micro SD."
