Vogue Italia Celebrates 50th Anniversary With Special Magazine Cover

Vogue Italia is celebrating its 50th anniversary in quite an amazing fashion- with its September 2014 issue featuring 50 models.

From individuals who made "supermodel" a household name to Victoria's Secret Angels to newer faces, Vogue Italia has nearly all the bases covered. The magazine decided to celebrate its 50th anniversary in style and what better way to do so than have 50 of the most celebrated models cover its September issue.

As awesome as it sounds, there's been quite a few iconic names that have been left out an don't feature on the much-awaited cover. These include Gisele Bündchen, Cara Delevingne, Kate Moss, Cindy Crawford and Iman.

Nonetheless, the cover is nothing short of spectacular. Here is the full list featured on Vogue Italia's September cover that was shot by Steven Meisel as reported by Fashion Gone Rogue

Earlier this month, U.S. Vogue unveiled their September cover, which also has models fronting it but obviously does not hold a candle to Vogue Italia's star model power.

U.S. Vogue's cover features Smalls, Delevingne and Kloss appearing together and are touted as The Instagirls because of their countless Instagram followers.

"Models of the moment in the clothes of the season," the cover reads.

Last year, U.S. Vogue put actress Jennifer Lawrence on the cover of its September issue, and in 2012, the glossy chose Lady Gaga to front its September issue cover.
