TMZ reports a church is attempting to block Lena Headey’s alleged public nude scene. Without giving too much away, Cersei Lannister gets caught in a lie and for the first time ever, has to pay the price. Cersei must atone for her lies and do a penance walk in King’s Landing.

The rumored shoot was supposed to take play at the Church of St. Nicholas in Dubrovnik, Croatia. However, the church will not give permission to film the scene.

“We're told the local film commission will not give producers a permit to shoot the scene because they take their cue from the church -- in this case the Church of St. Nicholas,” TMZ reports. “Sources [say] they can't cut the scene because it's crucial to the story line and it's an iconic moment from the book.”

Fans are already upset Lady Stoneheart, better known as zombie Catelyn Stark, won’t be making an appearance in the series. The scene also features the first time Cersei must pay for the evil things she’s done.

Michael Lombardo, HBO’s president of programming, recently defended the violence and sex scenes featured in “Game of Thrones” during the Edinburgh Intl. Television Festival. The Guardian reports Lombardo was adamant that the network wouldn’t censor their shows as people subscribe to HBO for adult entertainment.

“My job is to be in business with responsible creative forces,” Lomardo told the festival crowd. “And if I am doing that I trust their decisions about what is appropriate for the character or not. And I feel we made the right choice with Dan (Weiss) and Dave (Benioff) and they continue to try to be responsible.

“As long as I feel that (violence) isn’t the reason (people) are watching the show, that it isn’t a show trying to attract viewers with sex and violence, I am not going to play police.”

HBO has yet to announce the premiere date of “Game of Thrones” season five.
