A man was arrested after fleeing the scene of a car accident in New Mexico according to Gawker. Luis Briones, 25, thought it was safe to not only drive while intoxicated, but have sex while speeding.
Briones crashed his Ford Explorer into a nearby car after running a red light. His lover, 21-year-old Natasha Caroll was ejected from the vehicle. As her naked body laid in the middle of the street, Briones disappeared.
Before springing into even more illegal action, Briones got out of his vehicle to see how much damage his recklessness caused. Realizing possible jail time was in his future, Briones attempted to drive away from the scene but a civilian confiscated his car keys.
He then continued to grab a few of his belongings to cover his naked body and jumped in a near by bush to hide from authorities.
Prior to the accident, a 911 call was placed reporting a man speeding in his car "having sexual intercourse of some sort while driving."
According to The Smoking Gun, when police arrived on the scene and apprehended the suspect he was wearing one shoe, "refused to keep his pants on", and "allegedly spit on officers."
A half-empty bottle of Vodka was found in the back of Briones' Ford. He was charged with aggravated driving while under the influence, reckless driving, and evading police and is being held for a $22,000 bond.
Caroll was taken to a nearby hospital. She suffered lacerations to her face and is expected to make a full recovery. It's unclear if she will face any charges for her role in the accident. No one else was injured in the crash.
