Daughter of Flight Attendant Found Dead In Trunk Charged With Murder

The Indiana teenage daughter of the United Airlines flight attendant found dead in the trunk of her car last month has been charged with her murder, CBS Chicago reported.

DeCarol Deloney-Cain's body was found wrapped in trash bags with multiple stab wounds in the trunk of her car in a wooded area of Gary, Indiana, on July 7.

On Wednesday Alyssa Barrett, the victim's 17-year-old daughter, was arrested and charged with robbery and the murder of Deloney-Cain, 54.

Barrett's boyfriend, 18-year-old Damarius Rashard Wren, was also arrested and charged for her murder a few days after the body was found.

Both the daughter and boyfriend are accused of planning and executing the murder because Deloney-Cain wanted her daughter, who is pregnant, to have an abortion, CBS Chicago reported.

Wren reportedly admitted to Gary police he killed Deloney-Cain after having an argument at her home on July 3 about aborting his child with Barrett. He flew into a rage, placed a pillowcase over the mother's head and repeatedly bashed her head into the basement's staircase before stabbing her, according to court documents previously obtained by NBC Chicago.

Barrett was in the home at the time of the murder, according to court documents. Her relationship with her mother was said to be "fragile," police said.

When people asked where her mother was, she told them she had flown to China, according to court documents obtained by CBS Chicago. Deloney-Cain was reported missing when United Airlines called her son saying she never showed up for work.

Two of Wren's friends are also accused of helping him wrap the body in plastic bags and driving it to a remote area in Gary where it was abandoned. Their names have not been released, CBS Chicago reported.

Barrett and Wren are currently being held without bond.
