Filmmaker Kevin Smith made an appearance at San Diego Comic-Con this year, and dished details about “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” star Ben Affleck.

Comic Book reports Smith revealed Affleck didn’t want to play another superhero after his experiences on Marvel’s “Daredevil” film. The movie received poor reviews and flopped at the box office, but it was the uncomfortable costume that made Affleck want to stay away from superheroes.

“Everyone I know who’s ever put on like a mask in a movie and s***, they’re like, ‘Don’t ever do it. It’s hell on earth and s***,’” Smith said, according to Comic Book. “Ironically enough, there’s a friend of mine, who played a superhero in a movie, and he once said to me, ‘Remind me, if anyone ever offers me a costume movie again, I never want to do this s***, because this suit is uncomfortable.’ The movie was Daredevil, and the guy rethought the whole decision about being in a f***ing costume and whatnot.”

Smith's comments come after rumors surfaced claiming Affleck was uncomfortable in his new Batsuit. The Daily Star reported sources claimed Affleck was complaining about the Batsuit on set. The costume allegedly takes 30 minutes to put on and causing the actor major discomfort.

“The suit is extremely restrictive. Ben finds it hard to perform basic tasks and struggles to look natural,” the source said. “He’s also been complaining of problems with breathing, given how tight the suit is.”

The cast of “Batman vs. Superman” recently made an appearance at Comic-Con. Affleck, Gal Gadot and Henry Cavill helped unveil the new Wonder Woman costume and a special teaser. Check out more about the Comic-Con appearance here.
