Former Destiny’s Child Member Arrested for Disorderly Conduct, Found Sleeping in Neighbor’s Yard?

Farrah Franklin, a former member of the girl group Destiny's Child, was arrested on Sunday, July 20 for disorderly conduct. According to TMZ, Franklin was found in a stranger's front yard and told police that she wanted to sleep in the woods because she had nowhere else to go.

Reportedly, the singer took an impromptu trip to Myrtle Beach after NFL star Da'Quan Bowers flew her out to South Carolina. The two of them, along with NFL star Ricky Sapp, spent all day Saturday drinking. A sourced told TMZ that Franklin and the two athletes went back to Sapp's apartment and it was apparent that Franklin was heavily intoxicated.

Sapp and Bowers also told police that they believed Franklin might have been doing drugs. Reportedly Bowers told cops that the singer kept leaving to go to the bathroom the entire night. According to the site, the two men called the cops on Franklin because she started screaming and slamming doors.

Before police could arrive, Franklin took off. After searching the surrounding neighborhood, police found her in a neighbor's yard. The 33-year-old was released on bond Sunday afternoon. According to reports, this is not Franklin's first arrest for disorderly conduct.

Back in 2011, the "Say My Name" singer was arrested in Los Angeles for being highly intoxicated. At the time, Franklin said she was a victim of racial profiling, TMZ reports. Franklin was with Destiny's Child for five months. She, along with Michelle Williams, replaced LeToya Luckett and LaTavia Roberson.

Franklin made her first official debut with the R&B group in February of 2000 with the music video for "Say My Name." After spending a few months touring and recording songs with Destiny's Child, Franklin was fired.

According to reports, she learned of her dismissal from an MTV News report. At the time, Beyoncé said Franklin missed a few major appearances and the group was left with no choice but to fire her.
