With the competition among tablet and e-reader manufactures still on, Amazon is leaving no stone unturned to make it as easy as possible for customers to get their hands on one of their Kindle Fire devices. According to a press release from the company, customers across 170 countries around the globe can now pre-order Kindle Fire HD and Kindle Fire HD 8.9" online through their website, which would give them access to more than 300,000 books that are exclusive to the Kindle Store.

"Kindle Fire HD is the #1 best-selling item in the world for Amazon since its launch, and we're thrilled to make it available to even more customers around the globe today," said Dave Limp, Vice President, Amazon Kindle. "Not only does Kindle Fire feature advanced hardware, it's also a service. When combined with our content ecosystem, great email and browsing and top-rated customer service, we hope people around the world will agree that Kindle Fire HD is the best tablet for an incredible price."

Amazon said Kindle Fire sells in the US market starting at a base price of $159. They will start shipping to the additional countries by June 13.

Outside U.S. the devices were available in Britain, Germany, France, Italy, Spain and Japan.

The company says one of the biggest benefits of a Kindle Fire HD is that it comes pre-registered and when the customer receives the device, it already has his/her name on it. Apart from that, the device doesn't need to be synced and users can easily download and start using their device.
