"Girls Gone Wild" creator Joe Francis lit into members of the jury who found him guilty of assault earlier this month, saying that they were "mentally f---ing retarded" and should be "lined up and shot."
The Hollywood Reporter published a feature piece on Francis in which the GGW founder railed the jury that deemed him guilty of false imprisonment and assault, after taking three women to his house from a Los Angeles night club and beating one of them when they tried to leave.
In his interview with THR, Francis referred to the jury, saying, "each and every one of you are mentally f---ing retarded and you should be euthanized, because, as Darwin said, you have naturally selected yourself. You are the weakest members of the herd. Goodbye! And if that jury wants to convict me because I didn't show up, which is the only reason they did, then, you know, they should all be lined up and shot!"
He also accused his "jealous" critics of having a "small penis," and said his blatant fame contributed to the conviction.
"I have private jets. I have a great life, I'm a good-looking guy," he said in the extensive THR piece. "I'm not conceited, but like-look, I have girls around me all the time, whatever I want. I make a lot of money. It's a great life. If I wasn't me, I'd f---ing hate me."
One juror who was present in court that day spoke with Gawker, saying that the rant only reaffirmed the jury's decision to find Francis guilty.
"It's a little bizarre to have someone looking into a camera and suggesting you be shot, even if he has no idea what I look like since he never showed up at the trial," the juror, who asked to remain anonymous, said. "If anything, it reaffirms the decision we came to-unanimously, of course, after only about a day and a half of deliberations-as one of the charges was directly related to the vague (and not so vague) threats he made against the victim he assaulted to keep her from filing a police report."
