The first image of Henry Cavill as Clark Kent on the "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice" set has surfaced.

Cavill posed with a black t-shirt for The Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund's official Twitter. Cavill is a supporter of the organization.

Unfortunately for fans, the image didn't show off Cavill's redesigned Superman costume. The "Batman vs. Superman" production has only released an image of Ben Affleck in his new Batsuit.

[Warning: possible movie spoilers ahead]

Cavill will be sharing the spotlight with Affleck, as the "Man of Steel" sequel will reportedly follow the complex relationship between Batman and Superman. JoBlo reports the caped vigilante doesn't care for the way Kent handles his problems.

"Batman is said to be a veteran crime fighter that will do anything it takes to get the job done," according to JoBlo. "Superman is a rule follower, so they often don't see eye to eye, which is a consistent dynamic with their initial relationship."

"As for Batman's usual digs; Wayne Manor is there, but Bruce Wayne chooses to live on the property in a modern-looking cottage by a lake (not a van down by the river, though). Underneath the cottage is a modernized Batcave, which houses a Batwing, along with his other gear (Batmobile, batarangs, etc.)."

Joblo reports Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor will take advantage of Wayne's dislike for Superman. Luthor will also be sporting a full head of hair in the film, not the typical bald look.

"Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice" stars Cavill, Affleck, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman and more. The film will be released to theaters on May 6, 2016.
