Verizon Adds Over 300 Cities to XLTE 4G Long-Term Evolution Network

To increase 4G LTE network capacity, and improve the program for customers, Verizon plans to expand its XLTE 4G long-term evolution network in 500 plus locations on or before the end of 2014, according to company officials.

Verizon's XLTE 4G long-term evolution network provides over 300 company markets with even faster high-speed Internet. The service operates on the carrier's significantly advanced wireless services program, which gives more consumers the opportunity to use the service for transferring photos, uploading videos, browsing the web and utilizing various apps on their smartphones and tablet computers. Consumers can access various applications, even during peak usage times, particularly during rush hour, at concert venues, sports arenas, and stadiums. This is true in communities like Fort Walton Beach, Fla., according to the Gulf Coast Region president of Verizon Houston.

"Fort Walton Beach customers are especially mobile and enthusiastic users of 4G LTE -- sharing photos and video, downloading large files, and staying connected to enjoy a great wireless experience," Krista Bourne said. "With XLTE, Verizon Wireless continues to enhance its network to ensure the best possible experience and continue to deliver on our brand promise to customers."

Verizon recently added a new VoLTE, voiceover long-term evolution technology capability to give consumers video calling options, along with the ability to make and receive direct video calls from their digitalized address books.

"Choosing a national rollout on the nation's largest 4G LTE network, Verizon can deliver a seamless customer experience for high-quality calling and other features," the company said. "From the beginning, Verizon's VoLTE service will offer an HD Voice experience, using the AMR-wideband standard, the accepted industry norm for this service. This solution provides the best voice quality available now and allows for future interoperability with others using the standard."

Approximately 103.3 million customers use the biggest telecommunication organization in the U.S. for their wireless needs.
