"X-Men: Days of Future Past" writer and producer Simon Kinberg has confirmed Anna Paquin's Rogue deleted scenes will appear on the film's Blu-ray release.

In a podcast interview with ComicBook, the writer explained Rogue's scenes were cut because the actress' scenes would've slowed down the film's overall storyline.  ComicBook asked if the scenes would be available on the Blue-ray to which Kinberg reportedly nodded yes.

Back in May, Kinberg also explained to The Daily Beast why Rogue's scenes were taken out of the film, claiming it was his "fault" her parts didn't work in the film.

"The Rogue/Anna Paquin scene was by far the biggest cut we made, and that was more my fault than anything," Kinberg told The Daily Beast. "When I was crafting the script, I wanted to create a subplot for old Charles and old Eric - Patrick [Stewart] and Ian [McKellen] - to have a mini-mission together, one final adventure. And that's what the Rogue sequence was - that they went to retrieve Rogue."

"It felt like it didn't come from the spine of the film, it was an appendage where I just wanted to see the old guys get in the X-Jet for one last ride," he added.  "It was a narrative detour, and in a film with this much momentum and narrative flow, you can't afford any detours."

In other "X-Men" news, Channing Tatum recently spoke to The Latino Review possibly taking on the role of Gambit in "X-Men: Apocalypse" or his own standalone film.

"I'm super hyped about it. I would say we're going to try do something maybe a little different," Tatum told The Latino Review. "I don't know how to exactly explain it just yet, but he's a character character. He's got a serious Cajun accent. I don't know if you've heard a Cajun accent, but [we're] going to [need] subtitles at some times."
