Not many people can accidently cut their own finger off and joke about the horrific sight. Jesse James, Sandra Bullock's ex-husband, not only laughed off the accident but shared the bloody, gruesome photos on his Instagram account.
The 44-year-old motorcycle shop owner accidently severed the top part of his pinky finger while working in his Texas shop.
On one of the pictures he posted to his social media account he captioned the picture of a bloody nub "OOOps, Bad day at the office. Headed 2 Surgery in a few."
He then added another picture, this time showing off the severed fingertip with the caption "Doesn't look like this little dude's gonna make it, Nice know'n you little buddy."
Despite how gruesome the photos looked, James kept a positive attitude and didn't seem to be too concerned about the accident or the surgery.
He also posted yet another graphic shot from his hospital bed and even called in to TMZ Live to explain that he was working on a machine in his shop and "had a little accident."
"My glove got caught up in one of my machines," he told TMZ Live, adding that he didn't even know his finger was missing at first.
He said his wife (Alexis DeJoria) helped him search the floor for the missing finger so they could put it on ice and head over to the hospital.
He also told TMZ that he was not on any pain medications.
"I don't like the way that stuff makes me feel, I would rather deal with a little bit of pain," James said in the video.
When asked about the surgery he said that doctors, who were prepping for surgery. James told TMZ that would not be able to reattach it but would instead take a skin graft and sew it back on.
Despite it all, James promised to be back at work the next day.
