Channing Tatum is currently promoting "22 Jump Street", but can't stop talking about his possible role as X-Men's Gambit.

Tatum has yet to sign a deal to move forward with the film, but talked to The Latino Review regarding his excitement for the film.

"I'm super hyped about it. I would say we're going to try do something maybe a little different," Tatum told The Latino Review. "I don't know how to exactly explain it just yet, but he's a character character. He's got a serious Cajun accent. I don't know if you've heard a Cajun accent, but [we're] going to [need] subtitles at some times.

"He has also a 'Jedi mind trick' thing that we're going to [try to] put in where he speaks Patou...I'm going to have to learn Patou, which is going to be really hard, but we'll see."

Tatum also spoke with MTV News regarding his potential role in the "X-Men" franchise. Though there are rumors circulating claiming Tatum will make an appearance in "X-Men: Apocalypse," the actor is adamant there will be a standalone "Gambit" film before he appears in another franchise.

"We've talked about it being a standalone, first, and actually trying to change the 'hero, superhero movie.' Because Gambit is not your typical hero," Tatum told MTV News. "He's a thief. He walks on the gray. I'm hoping we can change it a little bit, and then ultimately feather into the other ones."

"The machine of the Marvel world is so ginormous that it's literally like climbing a mountain, getting one of these movies made, and all of the pieces that go along with it," Tatum added.
