Justin Bieber Partners with Child Hunger Ends Here Campaign

Pop star Justin Bieber made a surprise visit to Whitney Elementary School in Las Vegas to announce his partnership with "Child Hunger Ends Here."

Before his Billboard Music Awards performance the "Boyfriend" singer helped distribute food to kids at the school. The children were so overwhelmed that they cried at meeting Bieber who tried consoling the kids by giving them hugs.

His trip was documented by the Today show. The teen heartthrob has been receiving not-so-flattering press lately and told the Today show that he is not letting the negative press get to him.

"I know who I am and I know about my music. I just want to make people happy," Bieber said. "The media can say what they want but again I rise above it all."
