"One Direction" band member Harry Styles is reportedly angry with Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik after footage of them "smoking a joint" emerged.

Anything and everything British boyband "One Direction" does makes headlines and becomes a trend. So it came as no surprise that there was quite an uproar when a leaked video showing Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik smoking a joint made the rounds.

According to a Mirror report, band member Harry Styles is very upset with his two team mates for jeopardizing the band's reputation, especially during an important stage of their career.

"Harry is annoyed about the whole debacle. This should be one of the biggest weeks of the band's career with the launch of their UK stadium tour," the tabloid quoted a source telling The Sun. "Instead it has been taken over by this controversy. Harry thinks it was a stupid and reckless thing for Louis to allow to be filmed in the first place."

The Daily Mail obtained and published a video, Wednesday, showing Tomlinson and Malik smoking a "joint" and joking about marijuana use. The video didn't go down to well with many "One Direction" fans, who were seen  ripping up, burning or selling their tickets for the upcoming gigs in the U.K., Europe and America,Daily Mail reported.

A few fans also took to twitter to demand an apology from the two band members. According to many of them, filming such activities may have dire consequences considering the band members are role models with a young fan base.

The source also said that Styles has been distancing himself from the other band members for a while because he's not "into such tactics." Styles may have a reputation of being pompous, a spendthrift, a ladies' man and a showoff, but when it comes to his singing career, he's very serious, mature and focused on his work.

Sources also confirmed that Tomlinson and Malik are already working on some damage control strategies.

"He was up checking his phone to see the reaction," an insider said about Tomlinson, according to Entertainment Wise. "He understands the whole world is talking and he is trying to work out how to limit the damage."

When the tabloid contacted a spokesman of the band, he refused to comment on the incident.
