Kelly Rowland, Paulina Rubio Joining The X-Factor?

The two spots that were once occupied by Britney Spears and L.A Reid may have finally been vacated.

E! News is reporting that former Destiny's Child member Kelly Rowland and Mexican singer Paulina Rubio are slated to join Simon Cowell and Demi Lovato on the judging panel of the third seasons of "The X-Factor."

Spears and Reid both announced their departure from the show and since then, the show has been on the hunt looking for new judges. Lovato signed on to stay for another season.

Sources also revealed that FOX isn't looking for huge stars such as Spears and "American Idol's" Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey, but lesser known names who have had some experience with these reality competitions.

"Rowland was on the highest-rated UK season," a source close to the show told E! News. "We have a lot of faith in her as a judge."

Rowland, 32, has experience being on a reality show. She appeared on the 8th season of the UK verison of "The X-Factor." She was ultimately replaced by Nicole Scherzinger formerly of the Pussycat Dolls. Rubio, 41, appeared on "La Voz...Mexico," the Mexican version of the popular reality show "The Voice."

Auditions for the third season of the singing reality competition are scheduled to commence this Tuesday in Charleston, SC. Cowell tweeted to his followers to expect an announcement come today in regards to the judging panel and that "this was going to be an interesting show!"

Rowland reunited with Destiny Child members Beyonce and Michelle Williams at this year's Super Bowl. The singer will also release her fourth studio album entitled "Talk A Good Game" on June 18.

The third season of "The X-Factor" is slated to premiere this fall on Fox.
