Prince William To Be By Kate’s Side During Birth

Will Prince William be alongside his wife, Kate Middleton when she is set to deliver their first child?

It's not very common to see the Prince be in the delivery room, as it has not happened for all royal babies. According to royal correspondent Robert Jobson, "it's become more common recently with the Royal Family - Peter Phillips, for instance, was at the birth of his daughters Savannah and Isla."

Prince Charles gave his son the OK because he was by Princess Diana's side during his birth.

Robert tells Now that "The location hasn't been officially revealed yet but it looks likely she'll follow tradition and give birth in the private wing of St. Mary's Hospital in Paddington, London where William and Prince Harry were both born."

The royal couple were married on April 29, 2011 and announced late last year that they would be having their first child together.

Rumors have swirled over the gender of the baby, but no one knows for sure. The latest reports indicate that the Prince wants a girl and Middleton would like a boy.

During a trip, Middleton, 31 may have slipped out that she was having a girl. When a young visitor came to offer Middleton a teddy bear, she reportedly said "Thank you, I'll take that for my d.."

The slip of the tongue sparked a frenzy.

However recent reports indicate Middleton purchased a blue Bugaboo buggy.
