Ol' Dirty Bastard, Eazy-E Holograms To Perform 10th Anniversary of Rock the Bells

The Rock the Bells Festival is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year with a loaded lineup including Wu Tang Clan, Kid Cudi and Rakim.

To pay tribute to two veteran rappers who are no longer on this earth, the hip-hop festival will feature performances by former Wu Tang Clan member Ol'Dirty Bastard and Easy-E, show promoters announced Tuesday.

The Rock the Bells festival was the scene of the Wu Tang Clan's reunion with Ol' Dirty Bastard in 2004. ODB died just months later. But his image will join Wu Tang Clan this year on stage. Eazy-E, who died in 1995, will perform with Bone Thugs-N-Harmony.

The holograms were approved by Eazy-E's wife, Tomica Wright and ODB's mother, Cherry Jones, according to MTV. A hologram of Tupac Shakur performed at Coachella two years ago, forging the way for performances of this type to be able to happen.

The festival was originally only held in Southern California, but has since been showcased worldwide. This year's shows will take place September 7-8 at the San Manuel Amphitheater in San Bernardino, Calif., September 14-15 at the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, Calif., September 28-29 at the Festival Grounds at RFK in Washington, D.C., and October 4 -5 at the Meadowlands Racetrack in Rutherford, N.J.

This year's lineup includes new hip-hop acts along with the legends. Big Krit, Black Hippy, Bodega Bamz, Brother Ali, Chase and Status, Curren$y, Danny Brown, Dilated Peoples, Dizzy Wright, Dom Kenney, E-40 and Too Short, Earl Sweatshirt, Flatbush Zombies, Hit-Boy, Hopsin, Immortal Technique, Jhene Aiko, Juicy J, Jurassic 5, Lecrae, Mimosa, Prof, Show Tha Product, Supernatural, Talib Kweli and Tech N9ne are all set to perform.
