Daft Punk Offers New Album 'Random Access Memories" Early on ITunes (LISTEN)

French electronic music duo Daft Punk couldn't wait to give fans a taste of what they've been hungry for since the pair began teasing content of their new album.

While the album "Random Access Memories" won't officially be released until May 21, it's currently available for online streaming, one week ahead of time on iTunes.

Most recent album snippets were released in an online video, where robots pull out a vinyl copy of the pair's fourth studio album and Iisteners get a tease to the song's major track "Give Life Back to Music".

The whole album is said to pay tribute to the music of the '70s and '80s. Daft Punk pulls talent from the two decades including enlisting the help of Giorgio Moroder.

Daft Punk gained popularity in the electornic house music surge of the '90s. They climbed to more more mainstream success with their 2001 album release, "Discovery." Tracks such as "One More Time", "Digital Love", and "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" became hit club staples.

With much anticipation over Daft Punk's newest album, the group announced their signing with Columbia Records in February. The website created for the album's release, launched "The Collaborators," a series of 16mm documentary videos about the album, in April. It was revealed in the second episode that producer Todd Edwards had worked on the album.

A video preview for the song "Get Lucky" was unleashed April 12, featuring Pharrell Williams and Nile Rodgers. The video was played at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival and the radio version of ithe song was released as a digital download April 19.

"Get Lucky" became Daft Punk's No. 1 single in the U.K. and Spotify reported it as the most-streamed new song in the music service's history.
