Details of Kate Middleton's pregnancy have been under tight wraps from the very beginning. The royal palace was forced to disclose that Duchess Kate was pregnant after she was sent to the hospital for acute morning sickness. Ever since, royal baby speculations have been swirling.
Now the Daily Mail is reporting that the expected due date for the baby is July 13. According to the paper, a close and trusted family friend revealed the exciting news.
"Some of Kate and William's closest pals were at a barbecue hosted by a family friend of the royals recently," said the source. "They were all discussing the fact that Kate's baby is due to be born on July 13. Everyone was very excited."
If the baby is born on or around the expected due date, it will be smack dab in the middle of a celebration. During that time, Britain will be celebrating the completion of 60 years of the Queen's coronation. The festivities will last four days from July 11-14 .
Some people feel the baby's arrival may over shadow the festival while others feel it will be another reason to celebrate. It was already revealed that Kate's expected delivery date was mid-July but the Royal Palace will not confirm an exact date.
The baby is also thought to be a boy after Prince Harry's enthusiastic declaration to friends that "he's excited at the prospect of having a nephew."
USA Today reports that the birth of the royal baby will be the first future monarch to be born since William's birth in 1982.
