Spice Girls, Backstreet Boys Planning World Tour Together? Brian Littrell Says it Could Happen? (VIDEO)

Get ready for some exciting news! According to reports, the Spice Girls and the Backstreet Boys could be getting ready for a world tour... together! The rumor (we're crossing our fingers its true) was started after Backstreet Boys' member Brian Littrell reportedly told The Sun newspaper (via MTV) that a world tour with the two '90s groups was in the very, very early stages.

"We are actually in early talks about maybe doing a world tour together with the Spice Girls," Littrell told the newspaper.

How exciting would that be? The report didn't give any other information about this alleged joint world tour. If it is true, it would probably be easy to get A.J. McLean, Howie Dorough, Nick Carter, Kevin Richardson and Brian Littrell together; they've already started preparing for a tour which kicks off in May.

The tricky part of this amazing venture would be to get all five Spice Girls on board. It seems like Melanie Chisholm (Sporty Spice), Emma Bunton (Baby Spice) and Geri Haliwell (Ginger Spice) would all sign up without hesitation. Melanie Brown (Scary Spice) would definitely be eager to do it.

She told MTV last year that she really hopes her former group can pull something together since 2014 marks their 20th anniversary.

"It will be our 20th year anniversary next year so I'm hoping we do get together and do something," she told MTV News at the time. "It kind of would be a shame if we didn't."

Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice) would prove to be the biggest challenge. She told Vogue Paris that her days as a Spice Girl was pretty much over.

"I realized it was finished for good in 2008, when we reformed for our reunion tour. It should have been the best moment of my life, but I just wanted to be elsewhere. It wasn't a lack of respect for the girls or the audience, but the passion just wasn't there."

A later report by MTV claims that a rep for the Backstreet Boys said the rumor is not true and there are no plans for a joint world tour with the Spice Girls.
