Selena Gomez's rumored relationship with Justin Bieber is allegedly causing a rift between more than just Taylor Swift; her family and management don't approve of their romance.
According to Hollywood Life, Gomez didn't tell her family she was thinking about getting back together with Bieber. Her family reportedly believes he's a bad influence on her and tried everything they can to keep them apart.
"Selena kept this from everyone because she knows how much her friends and family disapprove, they think Justin's bad news and would have tried to put a stop to this," an insider told the gossip site.
"Her people pressured Justin's team to take down the videos as they are trying to protect her image," the source continued. "They don't like her being attached to Justin and his bad boy image and this was one thing they were able to reason with him."
Bieber's bad boy behavior could also end badly for Gomez; her name was mentioned during his legal deposition regarding an incident where one of his bodyguards allegedly attack a photographer.
RadarOnline reports Gomez's lawyers are allegedly working with the paparazzi's lawyers to keep her out of court.
Another popstar whose name was mentioned during the deposition believes Bieber's behavior was out of control. Hollywood Life reports Bieber's mentor Usher is dishing out tough love to try to get through to the singer.
"Usher feels like the person that Justin has become is a complete embarrassment," an insider revealed to Hollywood Life. "Usher is certainly a mentor to Justin but he feels that Justin has gone off the rails and hasn't listened to his advice. Usher is now taking things tot he point that Justin has to live and learn. Tough love is the remedy he thinks Justin needs."
"He can't really reason with Justin over his actions," the source added. "He has tried, but overall [he] has his own career to worry about. Usher makes money off of Justin, which is true, but Usher also has enough money that Justin isn't his main focus either."
