The 14-hour search for a missing Oregon hiker came to an end when her body was discovered at the bottom of a 170-foot waterfall.

Friends reported Terina Kaye Chapman missing Friday when she didn't make it back from her Oneonta Falls hike in Portland, Oregon's Columbia River Gorge, according to the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office, The Oregonian, KGW-TV, and KOIN-TV reported.

Chapman's car was recovered in a parking lot near the trail. Her lack of cell phone made it impossible for searchers to ping her last known location, officials said.

Over 50 rescuers began their overnight search for the 63-year-old solo hiker Friday.

The hunt for Chapman spilled into Saturday and came to a halt that afternoon when her body was recovered at the bottom of a waterfall, authorities said.

Her remains were transported to the medical examiner, who will work to determine an exact cause of death.

Chapman's next of kin have been notified.
