Sri Lanka, currently tied with Pakistan for No. 1 in the Asia Cup standings, can take sole possession of the top spot with a win on Thursday against Bangladesh. Sri Lanka won all three of their previous matches, beginning with a 12-run win over Pakistan, a two-wicket win over India and, most recently, a 129-run blowout of Afghanistan.
Kumar Sangakkara won the Man of the Match award for his game-high 76 runs, and Sri Lanka's bowlers took 10 wickets while limiting Afghanistan to just 124 total runs.
Bangladesh, meanwhile, has yet to win a match. They're coming off a 3-wicket loss to Pakistan, despite Anamul Haque's 100-run performance and three batsmen -- Imrul Kayes, Mominul Haque and skipper Mushfiqur Rahim -- all breaking the half-century mark.
Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium plays host for the match. Weather.com forecasts a sunny day with winds at 10 mph; temperatures could reach as high as 88 degrees Fahrenheit, and there is no precipitation expected.
