Taylor Swift fans in Tokyo have experienced seeing the pop superstar's first performance on Wednesday (Feb. 7) after her 13th lucky Grammy win and the announcement of her new album "The Tortured Poets Department," scheduled to be released on April 19.

Knowing all too well that tickets for the shows have been elusive and expensive, Japanese fans of the singer - collectively known as "Swifties" - flocked the Tokyo Dome on Wednesday dressed up in outfits inspired by her songs and albums to at least take pictures and selfies as part of the experience.

According to local media, there were also Swifties flying in from elsewhere in Asia, specifically from Taiwan, the Philippines, Thailand, and China.

Swift would also perform several shows in Singapore later this year.

Swift's Tokyo to Vegas Dash

Swift is expected to perform in the Japanese capital for four nights straight - from Wednesday to Saturday (Feb. 7-10) before flying across the Pacific to make it in time for the Super Bowl in Las Vegas to support her partner, Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce.

Whatever the results of the game would be, Swift would have to fly westwards again on her private jet for the Australian leg of the tour next week, with speculations that Kelce would be flying alongside her for the show.

It was reported earlier that right-wing speculations of the Kelce-Swift relationship being a psy-op or a conspiracy theory have been dismissed by the NFL, as well as sports and pop culture pundits like Colin Cowherd, Ben Shapiro, and Michael Knowles.
