Killer Mike Arrested After Winning Three Grammys

The Hollywood Reporter has posted a video online that shows the Atlanta-born musician getting handcuffed and led by police out of the Crypto.com Arena event.

"This is for all the people who think you're too old to rap... we keep hip-hop alive. Never ever stop doing what you do," the 48-year-old rapper said while accepting his Grammys on stage. He added, "You cannot tell me dreams do not come true."

He shared that he is a Black man in America, and as a kid, he had a dream to become a part of music. He passionately said that the 9-year-old is excitedly dancing inside him right now.

According to a Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson, a man was arrested at the awards ceremony but declined to identify the man. The police claimed that a male adult was detained by police for a physical altercation just after four o'clock in the afternoon that occurred inside the Crypto.com Arena.

Furthermore, they said that they handcuffed the individual and removed them from the event, and he is currently being questioned by authorities.

Representatives for the rapper have not yet answered requests for comment.

The Grammy Award winner hosted the 2019 Netflix documentary series 'Trigger Warning' with Killer Mike, which focused on Black community issues.

He also made an emotional plea to calm a violent protest against police brutality that had broken out in Atlanta in May 2020 following the death of George Floyd.
