North Korea was triggered by the recent ICBM (intercontinental ballistic missile) test of the United States.

Because of this, the North Korean media is calling for a stronger nuclear arsenal, saying that the U.S. ICBM test is a sign that America is targeting NoKor. Here's what a North Korean military commentator said on Friday, Nov. 3.

People watch a television screen showing a news broadcast with file footage of a North Korean missile test, at a railway station in Seoul on May 4, 2022. - North Korea fired a ballistic missile on May 4, South Korea's military said, just a week after leader Kim Jong Un vowed to boost Pyongyang's nuclear arsenal.

According to Reuters' latest report, North Korea is planning to increase its military deterrent to protect its territory against a possible U.S. nuclear attack.

A North Korean military commentator explained that although the U.S. ICBM test failed, it is still a sign that the Western nation is targeting NoKor since the missile activity was attended by South Korean military officials.

"The DPRK will as ever continue its military action to bolster up the deterrence and ensure the strategic security in the Korean peninsula and the region," said the state media's military commentator, who wasn't identified.

He also criticized the nuclear activities of the U.S. and South Korea. These include the previous deployment of U.S. nuclear strategic bombers to SoKor.

"The nuclear threat by the U.S. and its vassal forces to the DPRK nears a new red line," said the military enthusiast via CNA.

Because of the commentary made by the anonymous defense expert, South Korea's Unification Ministry, which handles inter-Korean affairs, is now concerned if NoKor will use the recent U.S. ICBM test to justify another military provocation.

On Thursday, Nov. 2, the South Korean military claimed that North Korea sent several types of missiles, as well as ammunition and shells to Russia.

Specifically, the military officials of SoKor said that these could include anti-tank missiles, portable anti-air missiles, and some short-range ballistic missiles.

They added that the South Korean government might have supplied Russia with rifles, mortars, rocket launchers, and shells.

The information that SoKor defense officials shared is a clear sign that the nuclear and defense relationship between North Korea and Russia is further strengthening.
