Reports claim that the new X Enhanced Discovery feature is now being developed by the social media giant. This was revealed in new code strings, which was seen in the latest beta version of X for Android.

However, it seems like not all X users can enjoy this upcoming feature. If you are still using X (formerly known as Twitter), here are the latest details you need to know about it.

New X Enhanced Discovery Feature Now Being Developed

According to Android Authority's latest report, X is experiencing numerous drastic changes as the social media giant tries to attract investors and more users.

However, most of these enhancements are part of Elon Musk's efforts to further monetize the social media platform. Because of this, more and more new features are being paywalled.

If users want to take advantage of these enhancements, then they need to get the X Premium (formerly called Twitter Blue) subscription. This can also be said in the new Enhanced Discovery feature.

Tech experts said that new strings in the latest beta version of X for Android were spotted. These codes highlight the arrival of this innovation:

How Enhanced Discovery Works

This illustration photo created in Los Angeles, California, on July 24, 2023, shows the Twitter bird logo in the background of the Twitter page of Elon Musk, advertising a possible X as a replacement Twitter logo. Elon Musk killed off the Twitter logo on July 24, 2023, replacing the world-recognized blue bird with a white X.

Researchers said that the new Enhanced Discovery feature will help users find relevant content that is related to the subject matter of a post.

This means that if they are reading certain topics or discussions, they could easily find other posts connected or linked to this content.

However, it is unclear how the Enhanced Discovery will show these relevant posts since X already does this through hashtags, the Explore page, and the Advanced Search tools.

Aside from the new Enhanced Discovery feature, The Verge recently reported that Elon Musk is planning to introduce three new tiers; the Premium Basic, Standard, and Plus.

This means that these three upcoming subscriptions will be derived from the existing X Premium. The only thing good they can do is to allow users to have cheaper options if they want to have subscriptions.

However, the Basic, Standard, and Plus tiers will vary depending on the ads shown to the users.
