A federal jduge has ordered Hollywood actor Kevin Costner's estranged wife, Christine Baumgartner, to leave the former's property.

A federal judge has ordered Hollywood actor Kevin Costner's estranged wife, Christine Baumgartner, to leave her ex-husband's property by the end of the month.

The situation comes as the two individuals involved have had their divorce drawn out in the public eye. Costner and Baumgartner have shown that they are unafraid to face each other in court.

Christine Baumgartner Ordered To Leave Ex-Husband's Property

The most recent development is when and whether the actor's estranged wife would move out of their family home. Costner's legal team on June 30 filed documents that pushed up the deadline that Baumgartner had stipulated for her to pack up her bags and leave the property.

In court documents, Costner "respectfully requests that Christine be ordered to vacate his separate property residence forthwith and no later than July 13, 2023. Before the Hollywood star's deadline, his estranged wife set her move-out date to Aug. 31, 2023, as She Knows.

Costner's legal team, on the other hand, said that Baumgartner's reason as to why she should stay "grasps at straws with one baseless argument after another." In documents filed by Baumgartner, she said she was willing to move out of their home by the end of August if his ex-husband complies with whatever support and fee orders the court made on July 12.

In her filings, Baumgartner said that Costner wants her to rent a place without a financial plan. However, she argued that the Hollywood star would also have their three children to think about. Their kids are 16-year-old Cayden, 14-year-old Hayes, and 13-year-old Grace.

Baumgartner said that it was contrary to their children's best interest to commit to a rental that she could not afford, adding that it would most likely lead to multiple relocations. She claims that her goal has always been to maintain a stable life for her children.

Costner, Baumgartner's Divorce

The situation comes after Baumgartner filed for divorce with Costner on May 1, and in response, the actor filed in mid-June that accused his estranged wife of failing to vacate the home that they shared during the time that they were married within a month, according to the Taste of Country.

The actor said that he has been shooting an epic four-part film titled "Horizon" and argued that he needs Baumgartner to leave his property so that he could move back in. This was partly due to the house being attached to the editing lab where he needed to edit his project.

Judge Thomas Anderle was the one that ordered Baumgartner during a hearing on Wednesday in Santa Barbara. He rejected the former handbag designer's request to delay the move until Aug. 15.

However, Baumgartner's attorneys argued that their client needed more time because of the over-saturation of the Santa Barbara rental market. They also said that there was the issue of the "extreme disparity" in the child support amount that Costner offered compared to the amount that his ex-wife requested, said Yahoo News.
