With Taylor Swift's iconic Eras Tour, the sensational pop star is now on the verge of earning $1 billion for her entire tour. As per Bloomberg, once she reaches that threshold, she will be the first-ever artist to gross one billion dollars in ticket sales.

In other words, if Swift does manage to break the billion-dollar barrier, she will be the first artist to do so. The current record holder is no less than Elton John, whose Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour grossed over a whopping $800 million.

Pollstar data shows that the tour, which kicked off in March 2023, has grossed over $300 million. Notably, the Eras Tour is still ongoing. Swift's ongoing tour covers 50 dates in the United States (US) and many more in other parts of the world.

According to Variety Magazine, the phenomenal singer is touching down to other countries, such as Singapore, Poland, Japan, and the United Kingdom, to name a few. Her international stop also covers Brazil, Argentina, and Mexico. She also graces folks in Australia, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and Germany.

Pollstar estimates that once the Swift concludes all her international stops, the Eras Tour is likely to garner roughly 1.4 billion gross.

Bloomberg estimates Swift's earnings on her ongoing concert tours are $13 million a night. Regarding ticket sales, Taylor Swift's Eras Tour is an unstoppable force. With sold-out stadiums and arenas, fans are clamoring to catch a glimpse of their idol in action. With millions of tickets sold worldwide, it is no wonder the dollars are pouring in.

The average ticket sales under the Eras Tour are averaging roughly $254. To put it in perspective, her previous Reputation tour, five years ago, only costs $119.4 on average, nearly twice the price tag these days. As CNBC reports, the most expensive VIP package of Swift's phenomenal Eras Tour goes as high as $900.

Meanwhile, Ed Sheeran's The ÷ (Divide) Tour earned a staggering $776 million, whereas U2's 360 Degrees Tour amassed $736 million. The two tours notably sit at the second and third spots. But with Swift's Eras Tour on the verge of dethroning Elton John, they might be pushed back, kicking our Harry Styles's Love on Tour ($418 million) to the top ten list.
