All three of Clayton Doerman, age 7, Hunter Doerman, age 4, and Chase Doerman, age 3, perished. At his arraignment on Friday, Doerman entered a not-guilty plea, despite prosecutors' claims that he admitted to planning the gunfire and lining up the boys prior to their execution.

According to the sheriff's office, the unidentified 34-year-old mother was struck in the hand while attempting to conceal her sons from their father.

The children's obituary indicated that the three young boys were full of unconditional affection for each other and everyone they encountered. According to their obituary, they enjoyed fishing, baseball, staying up late, and joking together.

Officials have not disclosed a motive for the murders, which took place in Monroe Township, approximately 75 miles west of Columbus. Doerman is currently being detained without bond at the Clermont County Jail, as per HuffPost.

Prosecutors Seek Death Penalty for Doerman

The most recent arraignment records did not indicate whether counsel represented him. The public defender's office in Clermont County refused to confirm whether they represent him.

Per NY Daily News, when authorities arrived on the scene after 4 p.m., they discovered Doerman sitting calmly on his front veranda with a Marlin Model HC.22 rifle and blood stains on his clothing.

Prosecutor Mark Tekulve stated that Doerman fatally shot his 4-year-old son Hunter twice in the cranium inside their residence. The accused murderer then shifted his attention to 7-year-old Clayton, who was "gunned down from behind" as he attempted to flee.

Doerman allegedly ensured the boy's demise by shooting him in the cranium. Tekulve stated that the enraged father then ripped 3-year-old Chase from his mother's limbs and "put a bullet in his skull."
