Super Bowl MVP and Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes went viral as he seemingly handed the Lombardi trophy to a fan during the team's victory parade.

The Chiefs' wild celebrations, in which Mahomes seemed to give the trophy to a fan in the crowd on the streets, grabbed headlines around the globe.

The video went viral on Thursday, and today we can exclusively disclose that, contrary to widespread rumors, the quarterback was actually holding an almost exact duplicate, according to The Daily Mail.

Mahomes posed for a picture with a fan while clutching the Lombardi Trophy as he strolled around town.

Mahomes turned around to go, but instead of taking the trophy with him, he gave it to the fan.

But he didn't get to keep the trophy for long, as the Chiefs quickly won it back, per Fox News.
