Former BBC comedy game show host Stuart Hall has plead guilty on 14 counts of sexual assault involving victims between the ages of nine and 16 years old over the span of 20 years.
Hall, who starred on "It's a Knockout" in the 1960s and 1970s, admitted to the crimes after three months of waving away the allegations as, "pernicious, callous, cruel, and above all, spurious," according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The 83-year-old will be sentenced next month at Preston Crown Court in England, states the U.K. Crown Prosecution Service, in a statement they released Thursday. They described Hall as an "opportunistic predator," who would stalk his victims.
"We prosecuted Stuart Hall because the evidence of the victims clearly established a pattern of behavior that was unlawful and for which no innocent explanation could be offered," prosecutor Nazir Afzal said in the statement. "Whether in public or private, Hall would first approach under friendly pretenses and then bide his time until the victim was isolated."
Hall was prosecuted in December 2012 for allegedly indecently assaulting a 16-year-old girl in 1974, a 9-year-old girl in 1983, and a 13-year-old girl in 1984.
Then, in January, more stories of assault surfaced when he was charged with one count of rape against a 22-year-old woman in 1976.
Upon his prosecution last year, the BBC suspended his employment. He was fully fired Thursday, after pleading guilty to the crimes.
The BBC put out a statement, saying they are "appalled" by Hall's "disgraceful actions."
"We would like to express our sympathy to his victims," the British broadcaster said in their press release. "We will continue to work with the police to assist them in this and any other inquiries they are making."
The former game show host is up for sentencing on June 17. He is currently out on bail.
