Nadya Suleman, better known as "octomom" vehemently denied the allegations of child neglect and sexual abuse at her La Habra home. Two former nannies who worked for Suleman claimed they witnessed serious child neglect of her newborn babies.
The Orange County District Attorney's office confirmed the case has been dismissed due to lack of evidence.
Speaking to CBS2, nannies accused the controversial mother of tying up her eight newborns to their bed using cheese cloth wrapping around their waists so that they don't get out of their cribs. In another incident, Suleman blocked the door with a chair from outside for hours while she was taking a nap.
One of the nannies told investigators she'd witnessed sexual abuse in the house as well.
"(One of the boys) would take (his sibling) away and take her to another area. And he would be touching her," one of the nannies told CBS2. "I told Nadya everything. She never did (anything). 'It's okay, don't worry about it.' That was her attitude."
The nannies told the LaHabra police detectives that in some instances, the younger children ended up with black eyes and bruises from the abuse.
Concerned about the security of the children, the two women wrote anonymous letters in 2010 and placed them in every mailbox on Suleman's street.
"Please have social services check Nadya's home," the letter read. "There are things going on in the home that need attention right away. The octuplets are not safe. You will be sorry for not checking out now if something bad happens later."
Upon receiving the letters, a few of Suleman's neighbours came together and mailed a copy of the note to Child Protective Services and called police. At the end of weeks of investigation and interviews of the witnesses, the Orange County D.A.'s Office rejected all the allegations as the evidences were not sufficient enough to warrant further action.
