Both the Miami Heat and Washington Wizards are playing poorly at the start of the NBA 2016-2017 season.

At 4-8 win-loss record, the Miami Heat are currently sitting at the 12th spot in the Eastern Conference. They won their last two games. But these games are against the Milwaukee Bucks and the Washington Wizards, two teams that are outside the top 8 of the East and the West.

The Washington Wizards on the other hand, are also struggling this season despite having a good backcourt tandem of John Wall and Bradley Beal. At 3-9, the Wizards are 14th in the Eastern Conference.

Because of these, a speculation pops up involving this two struggling teams. According to Inquisitr, the Washington Wizards could send John Wall to the Miami Heat in exchange for Goran Dragic and Tyler Johnson.

In terms of talent alone, the backcourt pairing of Wall and Beal could carry the Wizards into the playoffs. Both have outstanding scoring average as Wall and Beal averages 24.0 points and 17.8 points respectively.

But the issue between the two is chemistry. According to CSN Mid Atlantic, Wall admitted that he and Beal have a tendency to dislike each other on the basketball court sometimes. And that sparked the speculations that one of them should be traded.

If Wall would be traded to the Miami Heat, he can turn the Heat from a lottery team into a playoff team. The tandem of Wall and Hassan Whiteside could make the Heat one of the best teams on the Eastern Conference.

Whiteside is having a dominant season. Fresh from signing a lucrative deal with the Heat in the offseason, he is averaging 17.7 points, 16.2 rebounds and 2.8 blocks. He is clearly the best player in the Heat right now.

If Wall will play alongside Whiteside, the Heat could be very dangerous on the offensive and defensive end. Remember during the 1990s when the combo of John Stockton and Karl Malone became famous? That could also happen if Wall and Whiteside would join forces.

With Wall's speed, scoring and passing ability, this could lead to an open Whiteside on the low post. And if Whiteside is attracting defenders down low, he could kick out the ball to a cutting Wall inside. In terms of abilities and what they can do on the basketball floor, they complement each other.

Will this rumored NBA trade deal push through? And if Wall and Whiteside could play together, can they turn things around in Miami and make the Heat a playoff contender once again?
