Nintendo has always been known to work under the radar. Its NX product has been through a lot of speculations but nothing much amounted to it until the transition to Switch unearths its mysterious backdrop.

Perhaps one of the most interesting developments to emerge recently about the gaming company is its joint venture with Nvidia. The chipmaker's involvement has been remarkable to say the least.

As a graphics hardware manufacturer, Nvidia is still in the process of adopting an artificial intelligence (AI) platform. Although it is still enhancing gaming computers, the organization is also focused on technology-driven cerebral systems which are essential to autonomous cars, neural networks and video game consoles like the Nintendo Switch.

According to Nvidia CEO Jen-Hsun Huang, his company's participation in the former NX project is about empowering the performance of the gaming system. Considering that the Switch already possesses an efficient structural design, how it runs should be sustained in the long run.

The partnership between Nintendo and Nvidia is more than just about boosting each other's marketability. The gaming system of the Japanese tech firm fits well with the hardware platform, which in this case is the Tegra outline, of the Santa Clara-based chipmaker. Within this context, the American manufacturer provides the form factor and energy sustainability that are necessary for a console to be portable and transformable.

It is likely that the undertaking between the two elite companies will last for a long time. In fact, Huang is already anticipating a two-decade relationship with the Switch producer. What makes the partnership even more relevant is Nintendo's long term approach on its architectural design.

Upon the onset, the Switch may look ordinary but its capability to adapt is itself noteworthy. If other gaming units find it necessary to shut the system down before linking it to a TV screen or to a smartphone device, Nintendo's upcoming flagship can do the transition directly. Resolution adjustment on either display platforms is simply smooth.

In addition, the multi-player option of the Switch is also flexible. With the presence of detachable controllers, gamers can play either on the big screen or on a portable system.
